Appendix: Install hotfix

This section details how to install the AP hotfix to use the functionality described in this guide.

Prerequisites

  1. Update the AP Automation license before installing the hotfix.
  2. Install the hotfix patch on a 2024.R2 Sage X3 release.

  3. Update Syracuse. See Installing the Syracuse Web Server, with provided JAR file (syracuse-server-12.21.2.8.jar).

This is only an overview of the process. The standard update process that should be managed by authorized, admin-level users.

Update

After you download the HOTFIX-AP.zip, follow these steps to install the update.

Open: Administration > Utilities > Update > Updates

  1. Select New update.
  2. Drag and drop or select the HOTFIX-AP.zip that you downloaded.
  3. Review information on the Update tab.
  4. Save and apply the update.
Review the update status and any possible log files and warnings.
  1. Go back to the Sage X3 landing page.
  2. Confirm that you see the AP Automation menu under Declarations > Sage Network and the three new functions:
  • Process documents
  • Get emails
  • Scan documents

Post installation tasks

You need to create an EINV directory on the Sage X3 machine if it does not already exits.

You need to add this directory for each X3 folder that requires AP Automation.

The directory path depends on your installation.

For example: …\’solution’\’folder name’\ATT)

Create: …\’solution’\’folder name’\EINV
